I drove a Bolt and a Corolla Hatch today

One was a disappointment, and the other was the awesome Bolt.

I was incredibly impressed with how the Bolt drives, I really enjoyed it. The interior is horrible though. The trim looks styrofoam, like wtf.

The Corolla was just boring.

The corolla reminded me of the mazda5. It felt more like a van than a hatchback.

At 164hp with a 2.0 NA, it’s not hot.

I test drove one before I bought my TDI and loved it. TDI was half the price of the corolla hatch though so my cheap ass picked it!

Whoever said it was a hot hatch is tripping so hard. Also looking at your other response to me, I can almost guarantee your experience would've been much more engaging and maybe even fun had you gone with a manual. That makes all the difference

For reference, the Elantra Sport has a fantastic shifter, but is let down tremendously by it’s steering, and isn’t fun because of it.

That’s all lost on me. I can only think of IM giving it a glowing stamp of approval off the top of my head, who actually tried to by one, then lost patience with waiting for a special color and bought his GTI. #full circle

My wife's Corolla, err, Pontiac has very similar proportion to a Mazda5. It's kind of a really big small car.
